Switch User in WinME

Hi
There are three users on my computer. To switch from one user to
another, the "new" user name must ALWAYS be typed in as the InputBox
always comes up with the name of the previous user inserted.
(Note that none of the users uses a password).
Is there any way to avoid having to type this in by having a drop-down
menu (showing the names of all current users) or by having an icon for
each user (as in WinXP).
While I doubt if there is some SETUP feature to permit this that I have
overlooked (although that's always possible), perhaps somebody knows of
an easily inserted script or a third-party freeware tool that brings
this facility to WinME.
TIA
Paul

You can use Family logon in ME.
- you may need to install it from Network Properties - search in the Help
files for 'family logon'

Hi Noel
Thanks for your reply but I have the impression I may have mislead you
as to what I'm looking for.
I gather this because the only information I can find about Family
Logon in WinMe refers to Internet Connection Sharing which is not at
all what I need.
In any event, there is no ICS adapter on this computer.
When I said there were three users, I was referring to three users on
the SAME computer of which we have just one---so no networking is
possible.
What I'm after is a means of facilitating and speeding up the switching
from one user to another by avoiding having to type in the new users
name.
TIA
Paul

Family Logon has nothing to do with Internet Connection Sharing and, as
Noel says, everything to do with having multiple users using the same Win
Me PC.  I'd suggest you follow Noel's advice/suggestion.

Family logon has absolutely nothing to do with ICS - I don't know where you
got that idea from, but they're wrong!

Noel/Mike
Thanks for your replies.
In an effort to assuage your admonishments, I must point out that my
computer is configured in the Portuguese language.
Couple this fact with some rather loose translations from English to
Portuguese throughout WinMe and, as a result, pitfalls abound.

I followed the directions in the link that Noel sent. So after
proceeding along the following lines: Control
Panel>Network>Configurations>Add>Client>Add  I end up with a list of
three Microsoft options which are named (English translation from the
Portuguese in which the options are presented): MS network client,
Netware network client, Logon of MS products.
Now which of these three do you think corresponds to what is referred
to in English as MS Family Logon Client? Well, of course it's Logon of
MS products.
But, the word "Family" doesn't appear at all. Oh, well!!

So, this explains why when, following Noel's advice, I searched the
WinMe help files for Family Logon, nothing was found either in English
or in Portuguese.
When I went to the MS website and made a similar search, many documents
resulted and I chose the one in this link which clearly relates Family
Logon to ICS :http://support.microsoft.com/kb/236465/en-us#appliesto

Anyway, the good news is that I now have the Family Logon (or "Logon de
Produtos Microsoft" in Portuguese) installed and it's absolutely great.
This is exactly what I was looking for.
Many thanks, guys
Paul
