I installed bitdefender -- a virus protector on Friday
evening.  When it asked me to reboot, I ignored it and
kept working.  When I restarted my machine, I got the
message shown in the subject.  Thsi was followed by a
message stating that I should Restart my machine if this
error continued.  I restarted and it took me to a restore
desktop location; however, I could not select anything
because my system kept looping to this message to teh
Restore Desktop location.

Can anyone help me?

Reboot to Safe Mode and use System Restore to go back to before you
installed the new program.

See if that gets you back to a stable system. - then post back
