Up until yesterday I could access Word.  I shut the
computer down and when I restarted I could not access
Word.  Everytime I try I crash the whole system.  All my
other works packages are working ok except word.  I have
tried repairing word and Uninstalling and re installing
but still having problems.  Any suggestions would be
grateful.  Thanks

This sounds as if you may have a corrupted Word template.  Using Explorer's
Search look for all instance of the file normal.dot and rename them normal.bak
and then retry opening Word.  If that solves the problem a new default
template file will automatically be recreated and you can delete the files you
renamed.
