I am about to restore Me on the above system but have a
couple of questions.

1. Under the "readme" section of the 2 part CD's, it warns
you that by using Option 1, or (Restore Windows Me) will
remove all HDD data before restoring the system to
original factory configuration.

2.What is HDD data?

3.Will I be able to save assorted doc's and info. I've
accumulated over the years?

Reply either here or go to jag2992856@aol.com

Thanks

Hard Disk Drive data.  In other words by using option 1 you will wipe your
hard disk drive clean as part of the restore with the loss of all your
data and installed applications.

Not if you choose option 1.

What problems are you having that make you feel you need to reinstall Win
Me and return your PC to the state it was in when first delivered?  For
virtually all problems such drastic action is not required.  Could you
also check and see if you have a C;\Windows\Options\Cabs folder containing
several CAB files including PRECOPY1.CAB, BASE2.CAB, CATALOG.CAB,
NET3.CAB, DRIVER5.CAB and several WIN_??.CAB files as sell as the file
setup.exe?  Knowing this will help whoever responds to your reply about
why you want to reinstall Win Me.
