In a bid to make my computer a little bit quicker I tried
uninstalling a lot of rubbish I had gathered.
Consequently I have lost all the sound so when I try to
play music etc I hear nothing?
Can anyone let me know what I have to reinstall or rectify
to sort out this problem, I'd be really grateful since I
have loads of music and can hear nothing!!

Boot into Safe Mode, open the Device Manager, uncheck all sound related
devices and then reboot back into Normal Mode and let Win Me redetect your
hardware and reinstall the necessary drivers.  Once back in Normal Mode, open
the Device Manager and check that the devices are present and correct and that
none are "yellow banged".  If any are, note the details of the error codes and
post back details.
