My hard disk was partitioned when producing a back-up. I
no longer need the back-up but would enjoy the disk space.
I can't find a way to delete the hard disk partition. I
have Windows Me. Can anyone help?

The Microsoft partitioning tool is fdisk which can delete and create
partitions but not resize them, for this you need to use third party tools
such as PowerQuest's Partition Magic
(http://www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic/) or Terabyte Unlimited's BootItNG
(http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/).

For details of how to fdisk and format see the Microsoft Knowledge Base
article 255867 - "How to Use the Fdisk Tool and the Format Tool to Partition
or Repartition a Hard Disk" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=255867).
