Intell 82815 Graphics Controller 4.12.01.2593 reported as
unsigned and won't be installed.  In the 'Driver Signature
Notification' window, the 'Advanced' button to force
installation is unobtainable.  Anyone know the whereabouts
(probably registry) of the switch to enable the button or
other solution?

Try this - find the INF file for the driver, right-click on it, and select
Install - that should bypass the signed-driver check.

Thanks Noel, but no luck - not only did it bypass the
check but everything else! clicking install made the
hourglass flash only. - no messages, error or otherwise
and no show of the driver.

OK - now try this....
Reboot to Safe Mode
Uninstall the drivers you already have for the device
Reboot to Normal Mode - windows should, with any luck, install the new
drivers.

Thanks again Noel but I had previously tried that before
posting the problem.  I had obtained a new Intel driver
which obviously had the correct signed wrapper so it
worked last night.

Thanks again - have a good new year!
