My sistem went down and I purchased a new hard drive.
After reinstalling all programs, Word & Works need a
verification # (which I have) to restart the program so
that I can use all of my old files.  It will not take the
verification  # I have.  Microsoft says call Dell. Dell
says call microsoft!!!!!!     HELP ANYONE!

If Word and Works were supplied by Dell as part of your initial computer
purchases then they are OEM copies and Dell is responsible for providing full
support.  This is part of the contract between Dell and Microsoft whereby Dell
were able to purchase this software, and the operating system itself, at a
considerable discount, subject to them, Dell, providing support to the end
user.  If Dell aren't prepared to honour this contract then contact your local
trading standards department for assistance.

If however you purchased this software from your local software reseller then
you should not be dealing with Dell but rather with Microsoft.
