I am using Widows ME and not infrequently on shut down I get a blue screen and the Error Message OE:0357:00013A0 This comes up just before the normal message "It is now safe to shut down your computer". The only way to continue or shut down is to switch off the computer. On start up after such a shut down the disk scan window appears, which I normally cancel and start up proceeds normally. This has arisen 4 times in the last 20 shut downs. Can anyone help me to get this corrected, please? Joan, Many thanks for these leads. I have had an initial look and see that the cause may be due to numerous different problems which will take some time to work through and analyse.
