I have windows me on ibm e74 about 4 yrs old...
recently I did a total recovery, good results except I
somehow ended up with WORD PAD as my downloading program
for internet files.............I get gibberish...
does anybody know how to change this???

I'm not entirely sure I understand you, but look at Explorer / Tools /
Folder Options, Tab= File Types, and scroll down to HTML, etc., where
you may find an incorrect reference to Wordpad. If so, delete it, and
reboot to test. HTML should be associated with Internet Explorer.
