Hello,

I noticed these programs in my sytem (when I click ctrl,
alt del) I have Eggsknob, Sysai (which usually says it is
not responding), winpppoverethernet (i thought this might
have something to do with my internet connection, i have
verizon dsl) and just within the past hour KDX pop up
there and when I try to close the program it says I am low
on resourses and would i like to close it, when i do, my
system sort of freezes, i can click but nothing happens,
and just when I rebooted this thing that just says A
popped up, I haven't been to any sites that I don't
normally go, msn message boards and a poker site that has
been installed on my systems for many months.

I run windows ME and have an HP Pavillion,
What are these and how do I get rid fo them, I have done
my ad ware scan and everything like that, they are still
there.

Thank you

You may have a virus/spyware hijack

download the Stinger from here and run it to make sure that A-V-disabling
viruses are not present on your PC
http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/stinger.exe

- update your virus scanner and run a full system scan of all files.

Reboot to Safe Mode and run CWShredder - to remove what is almost certainly
a variant of the CoolWebSearch hijacker.

Use CWShredder, the removal tool:

http://www.merijn.org/files/CWShredder.exe

download AdAware from www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to
remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.
