I've just noticed in the add\remove> windows setup tab, that the list that was once there is no longer.
Is there a way of getting this list in the winows setup tab back. There is also an error message involved when clicking on the windows setup tab, stating: "An error has occurred in your program. To keep working, click ignore. To quit this program, click close". When I click on to close, another error message pops up stating: "Rundll32 has caused an error in Setupx.dll. Rundll32 will now close"
Is there something I can do to stop the Rundll32 error, and to get back the items that are supposed to be in the windows setup tab
Thanks for any suggestions on this matter.

Hi,
This was probably caused by EasyCleaner or another registry cleaner.

If the problem is recent enough, running the UNDO file from the program may
fix it.

If not, then this reg file will fix it. Copy the text between the dashes
(- - - - -) and paste it into a text document. There should be an empty line
at the end. Name it VarLDID.reg Then right-click> Merge.

What happened was that an optional component such as Netmeeting, Messenger
or Plus\Themes was uninstalled and the reg cleaner declared those VarLDID
keys to be unnecessary and suggested that they be deleted. To avoid this, in
the future, you should look over the list of suggested deletions and should
not delete any VarLDID keys.

Thanks for the info, Do
Everything mentioned in your previous post are in the registry (varldid section)
It did not help, though. I still have nothing listed in the windows setup.
I also get the same error messages mentioned previously. Any suggestions.
