Last year I learned from this newsgroup to defrag in safe mode when having continual restarts. I used keyboard commands because my mouse did not work in safe mode. Now my keyboard commands do not work in safe mode. What can I do to be able to run scandisk and disk defragmenter? Why will keyboard commands suddenly not work? Thanks. What command are you isuing ? The first few times I defragged I did it through system Tools but then I kept getting restart messages. I went to this newsgroup and read about using safe mode, which I did and it worked. Now, however, in safe mode neither the mouse nor the keyboard commands and arrows work.
