There is way because the government and other snoopers do it all the
time.
My only problem is that I don't know the complete file names. If
someone could send me a list of the Windows specific files in
c:\windows, I could easily repair the directory.

Thanks. Yes, I know each system is unique, but there is a core. I do
wish that applications would stay out of the system directories. Before
BAT files were added to DOS, storing application files in system areas
was convenient, but that practice has been counter productive since
then.

email me & I?ll send it to u!!
Try this program, this restored files from my hard drive that had
crashed.
My brother had transfered what files he could to my new hard drives
but they were in a format I had never seen. So I assume they were some
form of XP files. & since I have 98 (wouldn?t have the others!) It was
saying there was no such folders or files even tho they were there! So
I ran across this little program & thought what have I got to lose
anyway. So I tried it & it sure worked! It restored 99% of all my lost
files! So give it a try!!!

Hello Ms. Brenda,
I am in need of a program that could restore a set of music files that I
inadvertently deleted while using AntiSpyware. I noticed in the e-mail
correspondence below that you might have a program that could be of great
benefit to me. Would you mind forwarding me a copy of it? I will be forever
in debt to you if you could? I await patiently for your response.
Thanks,
Mel

try to use ms dos... (i suggest you to use ms dos 6.22 at the command
prompt, choose the right directory. ( cd nameofdirectory ) after that,
simply do undelete *.* (or change the last * for the name of the file
extention you want to recover) that will work, but you will need to
remember each of the first letters for each programs or files... (sorry for
my english..)
or, you should try to download a special program, theres a lot of programs
that can help you on www.download.com
REMEMBER : A FILE IS NEVER REALLY DELETE ON YOU COMPUTER!!! ;-) good luck!

Not knowing the complete file names was my problem.
My original posts attempted to get a list of file names for ME, but
there were no useful responses. To me, this meant that no one who could
give me a file list had checked the posts, no one was interested in
helping, or my message was too specific and scared everyone. Assuming
the latter, I dumbed down the message a bit, but that has not worked
either.
I also tried some other forums, but had no luck.
I was attempting to salvage as much application data as possible, but I
ran out of time and restored the system. I never was concerned much
about the operating system. While there are lots of unfortunate aspects
about Microsoft operating systems, they don't seem to mind being
reinstalled endlessly.
I'll have to wait and see if any applications were damaged.
And, yes I had backed up the system, but one directory on the back-up
was corrupted -- the one that I needed!
Using MSDOS 6.22 to undelete files on a FAT32 drive is risky.
