I have window Millenium Edition and the windows update is called: Critical
Update for Windows Media Player Script Commands (KB828026). In my
'installation history' this particular "critical update......Script commands
(Kb828026)" has been installed at least 25 times (successfully) since June
11/2005 showing web site sources and automatic update sources. All say
successful.
I'm also concerned i never receive recommended driver updates.
Many Thanks

A word of caution......NEVER download 3rd party drivers from Windows Update.
Go to the proper website and get them there. I still have a C-Media one
languishing at Windows Update from 2002.

I'm new at communicating/networking through Microsoft discussion groups. I'm
not sure if i'm doing this right. As recommended I have posted further
details about my problem (aug 15/2005, 5:57 pm). I'm hoping someone can give
me description or solution to the long daily installation process which until
a month or so ago would install in 10 mins or less. I'm also wondering why
drivers are not addressed in the update notification. If i'm not posting
correctly (read rules) please let me know. Many thanks. Carol.
