Hi All... hope you had a verrry merrry!
I am setting manual checkpoints due to having AVAST installed on my machine.
(no automatic checkpoints are being set)  The manual checkpoints do get set
ok, and then let me restore ok, except.... they disappear the next day. I
can only restore on the same day.
I dont have zone alarm (I use a router).
Any suggestions?
thanks!

What utilities do you have installed and running each time you boot your
PC?  For example I think that ccleaner can clear all checkpoints.
Incidentally Zone Alarm has no history of clearing checkpoints as far as I
know however like Avast it is known to prevent their creation
automatically.

But plenty of others that might cause you problems.  Only you can do the
hard work which is to disable the entries until you find the one that is
causing the problem.  Don't bother though checking LoadPowerProfile (x2),
PCHealth, ScanRegistry, *StateMgr, StillImageMonitor, TaskMonitor,
SchedulingAgent, SystemTray or KB891711 as these are all part of Win Me
and won't be causing problems (although the PCHealth entry is unnecessary
but that's a topic for another post).  QuickTime Task can also be safely
ignored as can probably the Logitech entries.  I'd start with Registry
Mechanic and then the various Rogers entries.
