I keep getting an extremely annoying, repetitive message saying that my
virtual memory is too low. sometimes the message is followed by some programs
spontaneously closing. i always go and set the virtual paging file higher and
higher, right now its at 200 - 400 mb. there is over 600mb of free space on
my 10gig hd, so i cant really set it any higher. how can i prevent this
message from reappearing and closing my programs?

How much RAM do you have in your system?  What, if any, settings have you
manually added to the [vcache] section of the system.ini file?

Personally rather than making manual changes I'd let Windows handle
virtual memory management.  It's not as if the Win Me VM manager has
problems, rather the reverse, it's pretty good at its job, the best of any
Win 9x system.
