Got a program update from Avast the other day.  Opened SR this morning to
make my usual "manual SR" point and noticed two Auto System Check points
about 10 hours apart sitting in the calendar.  Can't be my imagination---did
Avast finally do something to their program to fix the "No auto SR Point"
creation glitch that they had?  Great fix if it's real--any one else notice
the change?

Thanks for the update.  Let's hope Avast when installed on Win Me now
allows the system to make automatic system checkpoints and that what you
report wasn't just "luck".  I've got Avast installed on one box here but
my Win Me box is still running eTrust so have to rely on posts such as
yours for the latest info..

Apparently it's the real thing-------System Restore is now generating Auto
Restore points about every 10 hours. (4:56 pm; 2:57 am; 12:59 p;m; 11:01pm).
Avast must have fixed whatever was preventing auto SR and it probably was
included in their last program update. I feel like a kid with a new toy, no
more having to think "Did I make my Manual SR today?".  I hope this is
permanent.

Thanks.  That is good news and makes life much easier for those using
Avast with Win Me.
