control panel/display

I just re-installed ME.  But my control panel/display/settings doesn't work.  
And all the pictures that i view have become digitalized, not natural.  Help?

It sounds as if you haven't yet installed the drivers for your graphics
card and are instead running at the default with low resolution and colour
depth.  You should be able to download the latest Win Me compatible
drivers for your graphics card from the card manufacturer's web site.
