Wrong newsgroup, this newsgroup is for those running the Windows
Millennium (Win Me) operating system, however ...

You must be using Win2K SP3 or later or XP SP1 since these are the
versions that introduced 48-bit LBA support for disk drives >137GB.  You
will also need to have a bios that supports 48 bit addressing so check
what version of the motherboard bios you are using and then check on the
manufacturer's web site for an updated version of the bios that support 48
bit LBA.

For some further details see MS KB305098 - "48-Bit LBA Support for ATAPI
Disk Drives in Windows 2000" (http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=305098).
