On mine the path to the message store is:
C:\WINDOWS\Application
Data\Identities\{953DA923-54CE-4C61-8D2F-91B032478FBC}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express
Your's should be simular.
You can backup and the entire directory or indivual folders/files.
If you have example a folder in OE like save then in the directory it
would be
save.dbx so save it that is copy it to another location, I have a backup
program compress my entire directory to another harddrive and later I burn
that zip file to a CD. Later you can import it back into OE, uoff the file
menu.
Note you must change the attribute back from the read only if you save them
un-compressed on a CD.

If you don't mind doing a little work, you can save each e-
mail as a Word or Wordpad document. Or you can copy the
pertinent information in each e-mail, and then insert each
one into the same Word document. Then you can save the
document anywhere you wish, including removable disks.

I wouldn't save the document on a CD, just because it's
such a waste of a CD (so much empty space left over).
But, if that's the only way you have to save it in a
transportable medium, use it.
