Somehow, I changed the resolution of my 'Dell' splash
screen on startup of my laptop from full screen to
a 'small' resolution.  The same has happended to my ME
splash screen.  I was hoping someone could let me know how
to return it to both original sizes.  I have tried restore
but this did not work.

Thanks in advance.

This was right after enabling TV-Out, right ? That's what did it.... are
you experiencing any problems ?

Perhaps the latest video driverset or BIOS might give you your splash
screens back in the right size... does it mention anything on Dell's site?

sometimes overgoing the refresh rate does something like that, but I would
expect it to be consistent through the whole process, not just at startup.

(I spent a good 10 minutes trying to explain this in writing without
getting too technical... without success, so you're getting the short
version... e-mail me if you want the long version, it's just off the top
of my head anyways which explains the receding hairline)

(re: a previous post where she mentioned that she's enabled TV-Out)

Her laptop's Video BIOS is now geared to boot as native TV Display
(NTSC) *and* in Windows Startup the Splash Screen displays before the
full Windows video drivers kick in.

The splash screen might display on a TV in normal size (but not
necessarily).

As long as nothing else is wrong, I don't see the problem.

Sorry, didn't see that, I've been away for a while. My hair is receding
too. <not too big a grin>

np, shoulda mentioned her TV-Out was in another thread in my original
reply, not apparently "brilliantly deducing it" from the symptoms.
