I am running Windows Me and I am experiencing many error
messages. Most of which are all assosiated with my .dll
files. An error message will pop up and when I click
cancel, a diffrent error will pop up with a diffrent .dll
error immediatly. Some of these are Imagehlp.dll,
rundll32.dll,rnapp.dll and many more. Also when I try to
work around the error message and I log on line, when I
click explorer, it defalts to some web page no matter how
many times I try to set it to blank and will stay
connected untill I try to load any web page eg. yahoo, pogo
etc.
If any body could even hint where to begin or even an idea
of what is wrong I would greatly appriciate the help.
thanx

Sounds like you have major problems with parasites (maybe even a virus), etc
on your PC.
Go thru the steps outlined here: http://aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm and post
back your results.
Is you AV up-to-date? You can find some free online virus scanners on this
page: http://aumha.org/secure.htm

It appears that your homepage has been hijacked but in the absence of specific
details the following will hopefully be of some help to you in identifying and
removing the cause of this problem.
This would be a good time to download yourself a copy of the free Ad-Aware
6.0 from Lavasoft
(http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) and also SpyBot
(http://www.safer-networking.org/) and scan your system for and remove all
unwanted parasites, adware and spyware that might be hiding on your PC.
I would also suggest you download and run merijn's CWShredder which targets
the CoolWebSearch parasite. CWShredder can be downloaded from
(http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip or
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip). Details of the many
forms of the CoolWebSearch hijacker can be found at
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html and also
http://www.pestpatrol.com/pestinfo/c/cws.asp.
Other useful tools include BHODemon
(http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm that checks for
unwanted Browser Help Objects and SpywareBlaster
(http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareblaster.html) which can help prevent
some parasites getting a grip on your PC.
Finally if you still continue to experience problems download a copy of
HijackThis from (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html). Create a
folder called hijackthis on C: and copy the file you downloaded to that
folder. Close as many applications as you can including all instances of
Internet Explorer and then run hijackthis.exe and post back the log, provided
that it isn't too long, to this thread, otherwise to the HijackThis Forum at
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/ and hopefully this will enable someone to
identify the cause of your problem.
