Hi,
Is there a way of changing the appearance of a "default yellow folder"?
I've added new folders to my desktop, but I would like to change the look
from the plain yellow look.   Thanks

If the Desktop Icons are "Shortcuts" to your folders, you can change
the appearance by:
Right click the icon > Properties > Shortcut tab > Change Icon.

If the Icons are the actual folders, then I don't think you can change
them without third party software.

Thanks, but the website you mentioned is no longer available.
Any other suggestions.

I use Folder Style
http://www.6bytes.com/download.html

There used to be a free version, with a nag to upgrade,
I'm not sure if this is it, or a trial version.
Anyway, you can try it to see if it suits you.
