The order of the steps varies, however. Is the order of these steps critical to (attempt to) rid your system of virus/spyware? Thanks. Josh The order I advise is one that goes in order of severity of impact (Worst - least) Worms can kill your Anti-virus program Viruses can make it impossible to use your PC CWS can make it impossible to use the Internet (and the latest versions should be classed as viruses or worse!) Spyware frequently does nothing to your PC, except cause error messages, but can disclose personal information (including PIN numbers and passwords) to people who have no need or right to know then.
