I went to check Hotmail while writing to say I thought I knew what the
problem was and got a blue screen with an OE Exception.......

1.  0028:C011269F in VxD VDD (01) + 00000CDB

I then hit Enter to go back to windows and got this one......

2.  This was called from 0028:C023F58B in VxD VMM (OC) + 0000058B

Anyone have a clue what these were?

OH......and I thought it was a tight cookie setting that I had put in Zone
Alarm (persistent cookies checked off) that caused the problem.......now I
am not sure.

Thanks........Figgs

Go back into ZA and enable the Mobile code for Hotmail and see if it
works....you should have just got a page error, if that is the problem, but,
can't hurt to try.

The following may be of some help for the VMMvxd stuff.......that's MS's
collection of virtual drivers.....supposed to save a little time at
boot.....check this out:

Check out #18, in particular.

Heirloom, old and hate it when I get VDD

Hi Loon.......Mobile Code is inactive.  I have never turned it on.

Interesting website.....but you know me and drivers.....8-((  Anyway, this
is the first ever time I got this particular VMM stuff.....so will see if it
happens again.  I checked some of the #18 stuff, but don't have a clue what
checking *DMA* is for.

Cheers from the Great White North!!

OK.......none of my *DMA's*  were ticked off....but I left them alone.  What
does Direct Memory Access do?  Make it work faster/better/different/eh?

Cute tag line, old guy........grin.

Sort of, but I didn't think it fully applied.  I have never seen that error
before.....or since then.  Heirloom gave me a website to go to and I can't
remember now what it was.  If you go to Google, you should see his reply in
there.
