Installing software for a Canon MP390 Printer. Installation completed but
in the reboot I got this error. OE : 0028 : C003C66A
Cmdninst has caused an error in User.exe
I'm running WinME, AMD 2800, 512M 40G Maxtor.
This printer is replacing a 10 year old HP 600 Printer which finally died.
I have Adaware, AVG, Spybot, Zone Alarm, Mailwasher, MailBlaster. I don't
it has anything to do with a virus or spam.
I'm primarily a 'music' user.....not too knowledgable with computers. Any
help will be appreciated. bobg

Continued: I've discovered that the software seems to be installed OK.
It's when I connect the USB 2 cable and windows tries to install what it
needs. The cable is Hi Speed and less than 16ft. long.
My Motherboard is K7VTAS3 and comes equipped with USB 2. So far, Canon is
no help at all. I don't know much about USB 2. But I have a mouse and Midi
adapter plugged in that work just fine. Any Gurus out there with an idea or
site I can go to for help? Thanks, bobg
