Monitor won't sleep....

I have my Power Options set as:

Power scheme:    Home
Turn off monitor:  After 5 min
Turn off hard disk: After 30 min
Sys Standby:  After 30 min
Sys hibernate:  After 1 hr

My monitor USED to turn itself off after some inactivity and would recover
with no problems after keyboard or mouse movement.
However, the monitor no longer turns itself off and it will stay on all
night if left unattended.

Suggestions?
