Grazie. Eugenio B.

Are you sure, the poster understands english? And how did you learn spanish (just curious)?
Harry.

Don't think the OP is Spanish!

Then what's the idea behind this whole thing? On another one of M$'s NG's, which opened just recently, they communicate in spanish (or italian!) exclusivly. What gives?
Harry.
> Harry > [quoted text clipped - 36 lines] > >>> Grazie. > >>> Eugenio B. Mike M - 25 Sep 2005 02:00 GMT What gives? I'm tempted to suggest you try working it out for yourself Harry as it isn't difficult. However to save you time I'll give you some clues. Microsoft newsgroups with .de. in their name are German language, .fr. French and .it. Italian with many other languages having their own newsgroups including Russian, Chinese, Japanese, etc. although with rarely as wide a range as those where the primary language is English. For example a check taking all of 10 seconds shows that there is no Microsoft Italian language Win Me newsgroup just one each for Win98, Windows and WindowsXP together with several for Office and lots of dotnet developer newsgroups as well as products like Exchange and Xbox.

I truly appreciate you spelling it out for me, since I definitely don't have the time to look into this. I have to fight for every minute I spend on my pc. Thanks for your understanding.

Whilst I appreciate and understand (only too well) that you have to fight for every minute you spend on your pc Harry, the gist of this tag seems to 'feature' fairly regularly in your other replies on the NG's and *may* help explain why you have so many 'issues'.

But that's good enough for me at the moment in and of itself, while .....'have' so many issues is incorrect. It should have read .....*had*..... instead. For quite some time I don't have any real 'issues' whatsoever. And you must understand also, while I am syaing that, I am "knocking on wood". Thanks for the acceptance.

Didn't think of it at the time but the following link (http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx?) might help as this top level page of web interface to the Microsoft newsgroups conveniently lists the languages available in the left hand frame. You can see some 33 languages listed including English although this does include multiple entries for some such as Chinese (3), French (2) and Portuguese (2) for what I hope you will see are obvious reasons.

It is *almost* selfexplanatory and I see it much clearer now, but still don't understand the post(s) in this NG in spanish (or is it italian?), without the 'it' or 'esp' in the title. Am I missing something?
Harry.
> Harry, > [quoted text clipped - 10 lines] > > minute I spend on my pc. > > Thanks for your understanding. Heather - 25 Sep 2005 21:23 GMT Harry.....it is quite simple. The posters find a news group for whatever reason or problem, and post in their own language. They often don't know there is one in their own language. The Internet covers the whole world.....not just North America, btw.
For instance, I am researching Spanish genealogy in the 1700's. The only news group for that is mostly in Spanish. However, I post on it in English, explaining that I do not speak the language. Some do speak English and often translate it into Spanish for me.
The same if I go on a French news group. One just assumes that either someone there will also speak English or they will use a translation service as we all do. Which is usually cr*ppy, but gets the gist of the message across.
And none of the above have "es" or "fr" designations. They are world-wide.

> Am I missing something? Clearly yes. You really must try and use your brain and learn from what you have already been told or learned. 1) The initial post to this thread was in Italian. 2) There is no Italian language Win Me newsgroup.
So, if you were Italian and had a problem specific to Win Me where would you post your query? A non existent Italian Win Me newsgroup, Obviously No. A Chinese Win Me newsgroup? No. A Win Me newsgroup even though primarily English? Why not as with the aid of Babelfish you'd stand a good chance of being able to understand the answer.
Got it yet? Seemingly not otherwise you wouldn't keep on and on about Spanish. Spanish is not Italian.

If you went back to my previous post to Noel and his reply, you would understand the question about italian/spanish or vice versa. But enough already, I shall not bother with any other questions anymore. Sorry about any inconvenience I may have caused. Thank you for your 'support'.
