Help!!! problems installing software

hi i am trying to install aol 9.0 for cd and from upgrade on the site. i keep
getting this error.  aolsetup has caused a invalid page fault KERNEL32.DLL at
017f:bff7834f.
i just did a format and recovery today and had no trouble with installing it
before. thanks for the help.

You may want to call AOL. But that's not much help.

Try and un-install any AOL that you have on your machine, try try again.
Look under control panel., add-remove programs.

The correct answer could very well be "memory leak" which could me anything.
