Whenever I go to open the local disk (C:) window from my computer I get
an empty window. I know it's all there because if I right click from my
computer I can explore C: drive but it's driving me nuts that I can't
simply open the C: drive window and continue opening folders from
there. Our McAfee has recently gone haywire (it had expired) so we
uninstalled it and everything else is running fine, I just can't "see"
anything when I open the C: Drive window. I don't know how much this
would have affected it but after uninstalling McAfee hubby and
brother-in-law installed a game that wouldn't run - apparently
incompatable with Millenium - and for some reason needed to restore the
registry. They also installed Norton to take over from McAfee. I am
currently running Millenium 2000 - I don't know how much more info to
include. I'm not in anyway a techno wiz. Please help.

Are you using Windows Millenium or Windows 2000, they are totally
different?

Have never understood why people use that desktop shortcut. Or, the
subsequent opening of multiple windows to get to a deep subfolder.
Try windows explorer in the windows menu.
Don't forget to set your personalized view settings in the "view" selection
in windows explorer.
