Add/Remove Programs - Windows Setup
then use Windows Update to update it again.

Noel,

Unfortunately MovieMaker is not an option in Windows Setup in the same way
as Windows Media Player or Internet Explorer and is installed by default.
Unfortunately also, despite repeated requests to Microsoft, the MovieMaker
update for Win Me is not available via the WindowsUpdate Catalogue or from
the Download Centre.  The update is referred to as 287564 but has never
had an associated KB article or link other than via the Windows Update
site where it is simply referred to as an upgrade for MovieMaker.

The OP should be able to install the updated MovieMaker and hopefully
correct their problems using the following link:

Duh - thanks for the backstop, Mike!!

I could have sworn it was in there somewhere, but you are right (as
distressingly usual<g>)... I was installing Panda on my ME VPC at the time
and couldn't check (took an age to install...)

If only that were to be true I'd make a fortune come Derby day.  <vbg>
