hi need some ones help

on my other computer i keep getting a blue screen error. Asks to load window
in safe mode or as normal. when you load it in normal mode it comes up this
error on a blue screen:

"unmountable boot volume"

and the error code at the bottom and is this:
stop 0x00000ed (0x8377f9e0,0xc000006,0x00000000,x0x00000000)

this then resets on an endless loop.

If any one can tell me the problem and if there is anything to solve this
problem it would be great.

thanks

Is that on a Windows XP computer?  Try  running the chkdsk /r command
from Recovery Console.

What happens if you choose the Safe Mode option?   Same error?

John John gave you the most likely method of fixing it.

In order to boot to the Windows XP Recovery Console:
1.  Boot with your Windows XP installation CD and choose the "Repair
(Recovery Console)" option from the first menu.   If you don't have a
Windows XP Installation CD (e.g. you have OEM "System Recovery" disks
or partion; or none at all then there are other options.

2.  If the problem computer and your working computer both have 3.5
inch diskette drives you can download a set of disk images from
http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=310994 (6 diskettes I believe),
create the diskettes and use them to boot the problem computer to a
command prompt where you can run the command

CHKDSK C: /R

3.  If your working computer has a CD or DVD burner you can also
download Bart's PE Builder from http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ and use
that to create a bootable Windows XP CD.  Boot the problem computer
with this CD, open a Command Prompt window, and enter the command:

CHKDSK C: /R

Good luck
