I am trying to upgrade my Windows ME system to Windows
2000 and everything upgrades fine. All up to when I go and
set up my dialer. It will not read the modem.. and has not
way of letting me try to install the modem. Why does this
do this when it read the modem fine in Windows ME, yet it
does not read it in Windows 2000?

Michelle,
One possible reason is that Windows ME came out AFTER Win 2K ...
therefore you are not "upgrading" to Win 2K, you're "downgrading".
Go to the modem manufacturer's website to find the driver for Win 2K.

Speak to the vendor of the modem to determine if it is compatible with
W2K, and if a W2K driver is installed.
