I used the D-Link server to watch a xVid fix, and I could use the FF option
(BTW, anyone knows why on earth D-Link lets you use FF OR "jump" mode? and
you cannot have both working at the same time? that is sooo lame)
I then wanted to isntall MS connect cause the DSM told me to (in order to
get some of the online feeds). Ok, but then, there is no Connect anymore, I
need to use MS media 11, ok, I have that. I set it up... and now, when I play
video (xvid) the FF is not working (I get that on screen icon telling you u
pressed a disabled button).
If i swith to 'jump' mode that works.
While we are at this: anyone knows why xVid playback on files that I made
myself play very very not smooth on the DSM? they play fine on the PC in
media player. Other xvids, I got from other sources (not encoded on my
computer) run fine.

FF does NOT work on the DSM-320, it does not work either with TVersity,
Twonky, Media Lounge etc.
Dlink say that it's a feature not a bug and that the Jump feature is good
enough.
I know it's a shame, I've been looking for this feature for a couple of
years, but, stick with the DSM-320 it's a good piece of kit. I'm going to
review the EVA-700 soon to see how that fits into my setup and will let you
know if it's any better!

Then D-Link has retards working for them in Product.
I can imagine a world in which they think that FF is not needed, and jump to
is all you need, but in that world they would at least have one button
solution that lets you:
"Jump 10 seconds" instead of making you type the full and exact time you
want to jump to...
