I am having trouble sharing some of my files with Media sahring. I have 1
computer that is running Windows XP Pro with Windows Media Player 11, 1
computer running Windows Vista with Windows Media Player 11 and my
Playstation 3. I have my music folder setup for media sharing through Windows
Media player 11 on the computer with Windows Vista. I also have some music on
my computer with Windows XP Pro and I have that setup to share as well. The
problem I am having is that my computer with Windows XP does not bring up my
music that is being shared from Windows Vista but I can see all my music that
is being shared from Windows XP on my Windows Vista. My Playstation can see
all and play all but I can not play my music from Vista to XP. Another thing
is I can see my computer with Windows Vista on the device list on my XP but I
can not see my XP comuter on my Vista. Do I have something setup wrong..

Exactly right : XP doesn't have some of the features that enable
browsing shared "network" libraries but Vista does :

You could quite reasonably use windows file sharing, right click on
your music folders and choose Share.... on Vista

Then in XP you should be able to add those as monitored folders
(assuming no username/password needed) so those would need to be
Public shared folders, which are a special category.
