Rio Riot device not found - what I've tried

I have a Rio Riot jukebox player. I am able to access and transfer music to
my Rio Riot with the Real Jukebox software that came on the Rio Riot install
CD and with the Real One version of Real Player. However, the device does not
appear in my Windows Media 9 device list nor is it detected by Plus! Portable
Audio Devices.

I have gone through the troubleshooting list supplied by the web link in the
other Rio Riot posting on this news group including:
1) Turning the device off and on. Reboot.
2) Pressing the device soft reset. Reboot.
3) Unplugging and plugging in the device to the USB port - directly through
the computer as well as through a powered hub. Reboot.
4) Verifying latest firmware is installed.
5) Disable device and reboot. Enable device. Reboot.
6) Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest Rio Riot device driver. Reboot.
7) Verifying the device appears in the USB section of the Device Manager
screen and that Windows says the device is operating properly. RIOTDRV driver
verified as latest version (1.0.1.1).
8) Trying to access the device from Windows Media 9 on another computer
(after installing the latest device driver of course). Once again, could not
access device from WMP but could from Real Jukebox.

Do you have any suggestions for what I can try next ? I would very much like
to get the Windows Media Player to recognize the Rio Riot because I would
like to purchase and transfer DRM music. One thing I notice is there is a
RIOXDRV driver that is stopped. Although the RIOTDRV driver appears when I
click on the properties for my Rio Riot device, is it possible this other
driver is needed as well? Any help you can provide on this would be greatly
appreciated.

My system configuration is as follows:

Wouldn't you know that I solved my problem shortly after I posted my previous
message. I downloaded the USB driver from a Rio community newsgroup site
http://www.rioworld.org/rio-riot.htm and everything worked great. I’ve sent
an email to Rio suggesting they replace the driver in their web site with the
one from the newsgroup site that actually works! Would have saved me a whole
lot of time!
