How to streaming from a non-Window XP NAS server ?

If  a portable NAS as a DMR server and have to copy data via USB from PC for
digital media content,  but how DMR streaming digital media from such a
non-Window XP portable NAS server (can't run Windows media connect)  
expecially for playing the MSDRM encrypted content ?            Please kindly
clarify asap. Thank you.

You are correct.  Windows Media Connect version 1 does not support sharing
content from network shares or removeable drives.
