I am having trouble getting my computer to find the Xbox 360. I went to
troubleshooting and was told to use the reset button to open the firewall
ports, but I can't even finish installing the program without the computer
finding the Xbox. The computer and Xbox are connected with the Xbox's
ethernet cable linked to an extension that is also a straight-through
ethernet cable, both of which have been tested on other computers. I am very
stuck here and would appreciate any help I can get.

I don't know what I did, but theWMC program installed, and it found the Xbox
360, but the Xbox 360 cannot find the computer. I tested the media connection
on the Xbox and it failed to find the IP address. I tried the firewall reset
button, but that didn't work either. Not being very savy in networking, I
still desperatly need help.
