Error 80070057 or "The parameter is incorrect" means nothing without
providing exact information about when you get the problem, what you are
trying to do, along with information about your system.

--What file type are you trying to play? (Ex. AVI, MPG, MP3, WMV)
--Does this occur with all file types?
--Does it occur with a single file type?
--Does it occur with a single file?

--What version of WMP and what OS do you have?
--Is this file(s) stored on your hard drive/CD or on the web?
--If on the web, what's the _exact_ link to the content?

I can't see what formatt it is. It shows that its a windows media player file. I just downloaded the file online. There's sound but there's no picture. Once i close the error box the sound is gone as well. Is there a patch or something that i should do to be able to view it? I'm using latest WMP 9 and running on windows XP. This problem is only for this particular file and its downloaded using bittorrent.

Then can you provide the link as asked?
