what does this mean? is it that the file i am trying to use is too big or that i need to delete some things in the media player format?

Well, you don't need to delete anything.  But you would need to provide what
file format you are trying to play, the amount of memory your PC has, and
version of WMP/Windows.

I was trying to use yahoo launch to watch music videos and  it said ran out of

memory i have 512 MB of  ram I am using windows media player 10 and I am
using

windows xp professinoal  sp2
