I met error C00D1177 .
The text of the message Windows Media Player does not detect any storage media in the selective device. Insert Media into the dvice.

The error happens while playing a video file i captured from my Sony camera. the file played well several times. and the error happens in the middle of the file after Media player plays about half of it.

I did one or two updates of WMP and I am using Windows XP...

Sounds like the video is partially corrupt?
Do your other captured videos work?

(speaking for myself and doing this in my free time)
See http://www.zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
