C00D11CD in WMP 9 series but 80040111 in mplayer2.exe

i am using windows XP
i am trying to read the CD-R video (DAT file)
usually i was sucessed in watching this type of viedo clips,
but only the CD-R have a error "C00D11CD" when using WMP 9 series
Then i try to use mplayer2.exe, the error this time is "80040111"
so i don't know what can i do
my friends tried to play this CD-R on the computers, it's OK!!
so, what is the promblem with my computer??

.DAT would generally be MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 video. Copy the file to your hard
drive, rename it to .MPG and if it doesn't play then goto
