When I open WMP and click on "Copy to CD or Device" the songs I have selected appear with the status of "May not fit."  When I click "copy" this message appears: Windows Media Player does not detect any storage media in the selected device.  Insert media into the device.  My device is plugged in.  The Ipod screen is reading "Do Not Disconnect".  I have USB 2.0.  My system is XP. WMP version is 9.  The files I'm trying to copy are loaded in my computer and are mp3 format.  What's going on and how do I correct this problem?

You can't use WMP to copy tracks to your iPod correctly.  Apple requires you
to use iTunes or MusicMatch Jukebox.  There are a few thing party apps that
can do it better, my favorite being Anapod.
