Hi,

Can you play your CD's via any other player?

Kind Regards

I just started getting this error message today. error 800700E. this has not
been a problem so far, however, my windows media player is not running
properly, nor is my Sony "Sonic Stage" program working properly. could i be
missing some necessary files?

NOT very helpful at all.

I have the same situation - same error, just out of the blue, have performed
dutifully the list of checks in the link, no bloody idea of what's wrong.
rolled back WMP10, no success
restore windows at 1 month ago, no success

of course winamp or real go fine with my media.

let me uninstall WMP to be able to reinstall afterwards, maybe it solves the
issue!!!
