I am running WMP 10 in Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2...I was
trying to play an .avi clip sent to me by a friend and I got an error message
of "WMP cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file
could not be found". I have updated my codecs, but it sill will not allow it
to play. It plays everything else just fine..mpeg, windows movie maker
videos, etc.....PLEASE help, it's suppose to be a great video of his family.

Maybe you should tell people what codec's you have installed and what
codec's the file uses.

go to dshow.narod.ru and get divxpro5gainbundle.zip for avi files and get
mpeg2 codec installer zip for mv2 files and get an xvid codec somewhere else
just search xvid codec

Hiya, sorry for the wait...
I did what you said, and ALL of them are selected. :( Anything other
suggestions?
Thanks,
Jesse
