How do I know if the installation was successful?  After downloading the 7.1
version I answered "Yes" to open the program and nothing happened.
Upon opening up the folder for Windows Media PLayer I did not see any .exe
application files.  Rather, I found a "MP71" file and a Hypertext Template
called "Folder.htt".  Of course I would not know how to open ither one of
those..
Is there an installation program for newer versions?
Am using Windows 98 OS.

That means it did not install.  You would see a visible installer if it
installs.
