Bought a second hand computer recently and he claims sound card is installed.
But iget " the audio hardware is not installed and if installed is not

What could be a problem?

My sound card, which was working fine and dandy previously seems to have
disappeared. when the belarc advisor analysis came back there was nothing
shown in the multimedia section and no sound devices can be seen anywhere.
Any ideas what has happened and how it can be revived?!?!

The next step is to open the PC case, and re-seat the Sound Card.
