Media player 10 is a load of rubbish to say its supposed to be an
improvement on version 9.
A lot of media does not play cos it does not auto download the needed
codec's.
Problems playing Mpeg2 unless you have certain codec's.
Information lookup useless and too many things to list.
Stick with media 9 if you can.
To uninstall 10 and replace with 9 go to add/remove programs and tick the
box at top that says show updates then find windows media player 10 and
remove it.
it will restore to version 9 which is still better than version 10

Complain to the encoders of the video for using third party codec's and not
pointing you to them.  Complain to the developers of the codec's for not
having them posted at wmplugins.com.  Complain to the MPEG-LA about their
licensing.

You only bring up one point in which WMP 9 would change anything.  Moving
back to WMP 9 will not fix a single codec issue.  I might suggest getting
your facts correct next time.

Correct, as you can see by reading that post, the issues that have been
brought up do not relate directly to Windows Media Player.  These issues
(minus the Library issues) are the problems by third party companies.
Another problem missed.

| Media player 10 is a load of rubbish to say its supposed to be an
| improvement on version 9.
It is an improvement, but not huge.

| A lot of media does not play cos it does not auto download the needed
| codec's.
Wrong.  If it worked in 9, it works in 10.
"cos" is not a word.  Go back to grade school.

| Problems playing Mpeg2 unless you have certain codec's.
Same with 9.  Mpeg 2 needs the mpeg 2 codec, same as in 9.

| Information lookup useless and too many things to list.
Or this's really a rant COS you caint git it workin'?

| Stick with media 9 if you can.
Not necessary.  Maybe you have the Beta of 10?  Betas often have
bugs.  I still have 9 myself; no reason to upgrade COS it does
evernything I need.  Why did you go up to 10?  Because "it was
there?"

| To uninstall 10 and replace with 9 go to add/remove programs and tick the
| box at top that says show updates then find windows media player 10 and

Wrong.  Too many of my friends and acquaintances are quite happy
with 9.  I won't say why though, since you aren't talking about
that sort of thing.

It's OK to vent and give opinions, but it's stupid and ignorant
to make baseless statements.
