Every time I try and open a .wmv I get this error code.  I am using version 9
with ME operating system. I have downloaded Windows Media player again from
the website but that didn't help.

Do they play in mplayer2.exe?  Any third party codec's installed?  Happens
with all WMV files?

Actually no type of files play I have discovered.  I don't think any are
installed.  How do I try mplayer2.exe?

I have reinstalled Windows Media Player ver 9 twice on top of old
installations, then I installed WM9codecs9x.exe and then dxwebsetup.exe and
it still doesnt play .wmv. files. I did not use Sherlock to determine my
codecs as it said it was for Win XP. What else can I do?

Thanks,

Susan J.

Player ver 9 with Windows ME. My .wmv  do play in Mplayer2.exe and winamp.
What to do now? Thanks,

Susan J.
